Sue Staunton and Bernice Flack, representing our Foundation, recently visited Abingdon Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), one of the beneficiaries of our Winter 2024 funding round.

Abingdon RDA is a charity that offers therapeutic horse riding sessions for children and adults with physical and mental disabilities. By providing tailored support in a nurturing environment, the charity empowers participants to build confidence, enhance physical coordination, and achieve greater independence.

We are proud to support their Woodland Ride and Countryside Challenge, an initative that will transform two underutilised areas of the riding centre, including a stretch of woodland, into a specially designed off-road trail. This new trail will offer riders of all abilities a more varied, immersive, and therapeutic experience, fully embracing the natural landscape.

Once completed, the new facilities will benefit the charity’s 90 riders and their horses, promoting wellbeing, enjoyment, and inclusive access to the outdoors.
