generalIain Roberts and Gabriel Cusato recently met with Carly Newman, Operations and Relationships Manager, and Alyson Wylding, Director at No5 Young People, one of the organisations awarded funding in our Summer 2025 round.
No5 Young People is a long-established charity providing free, professional, BACP accredited counselling and wellbeing services for young people aged 11 to 25 across Berkshire West. Each year, the charity supports around 2,500 young people, and since 1971 it has helped more than 35,000 navigate challenges affecting their mental health and wellbeing.
Our grant will enable No5 to deliver 100 additional counselling sessions, offering timely, specialist support to approximately seven vulnerable young people aged 11 to 17 who are currently on their waiting list. These sessions, delivered by expert youth counsellors, will help ensure that those most at risk receive the urgent care they need.
This funding contributes to No5’s wider plan to provide 800 extra freelance counselling sessions this year, reaching around 50 high risk young people and ensuring timely help before distress escalates.
