We recently met with Sam Prow, Trust Fundraising Manager, and Josie Randall, Special Days Team Leader at the Willow Foundation ("Willow").

Our funding will enable Willow to deliver 15 bespoke Special Day experiences for seriously ill young adults living in Berkshire, Hampshire, and Oxfordshire. These beneficiaries include individuals living with cancer, motor neurone disease, muscular dystrophy, cystic fibrosis, and a range of other rare and life-limiting conditions.

The support will help provide experiences, including eight Special Treats, four Special Days (either out or at home), and three Special Breaks. Each of these are carefully designed to bring moments of joy, comfort, and connection to those facing incredibly difficult circumstances.

Willow is the only national charity dedicated to supporting seriously ill young adults aged 16 to 40 by providing personalised and memorable Special Day experiences. These bespoke activities give young adults and their loved ones the opportunity to reconnect, create lasting memories, and focus on joy and togetherness at a time when it’s most needed.

Working in close partnership with medical professionals, Willow ensures that each experience is thoughtfully tailored to the individual's needs and wishes, offering a compassionate and uplifting respite from the challenges of serious illness.
